Two Day Week! Thank you Thanksgiving....

So I found out this past Friday that I'm not working Thanksgiving at the restaurant. I am happy as can be. This means the Thanksgiving routine will take place. I've prepared a picture demonstration :) 1) Wake up early and go for a run around the Wakefield lake (weather permitting. Weather.com says rain? but...)

2) Get a large coffee to start the day (Honey Dew Ice Coffee, with Skim Milk and no sugar please) 3) Get back just in time to watch some of the Thanksgiving Day Parade! 4) Help mom set the table and prepare the food

5) Go pick up the Grandmothers....Grammie in Woburn and Grandma in Reading 6) Play with Crystal for a little while (if not raining, take her for a walk to calm her down before guests arrive)

7)Get ready for the day!!!

8) 1:30 guests start to arrive (yayyy! I get to see my cousins) 9)Apps include: Artichoke dip, cheese plate, pizzagaina...

10) Entree: Turkey, homemade mashed potatoes, squash, pecan crusted baked sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravey, green beans...

Homemade artichokes = amazingness (is that a word?)
11) Dessert: cheesecake, apple pie, blueberry pie...

The best part of Thanksigiving is being with my family. During the year we are all running in different directions.
Cheers friends and have a Happy Thanksgiving,

Essays, Tests, Projects and Media Kits, OH MY

As the semester seems to be nearing the end, I'm trying to make sure I am completing all of my classwork on time. It's a struggle juggling five different topics at once, but I''m staying organized and positive! The Library will be my second home for the next couple of weeks, but hey, what you get out of a project all depends on the time and hard work you put into it!

Also, this weekend one of my fellow ambassadors is hosting a "Not your Average Thanksgiving!" Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year!! (YAY!) I'm planning on making my mom's homemade mashed potatoes and maybe a yummy dessert?!?! Hanging and spending time with friends is a great way for my to get my mind off of school.

Meg and I, another fellow ambassador, will be heading to the tree lighting ceremony in Faneuil Hall this Saturday!- pictures to come :) Ahh I can't believe how close Christmas is, but the cold weather tells me it's just around the corner!

Cheers to all

3 1/2 years?

This weekend I ventured out to visit some friends at a bigger university. By walking around the campus, it made me realize how much I love Suffolk and it's small, close community. It is easy to make personal connections with my professors and learn from their career experience.

Speaking of school, my parents and I discussed me graduating a semester early from college last night. It is exciting yet I'm anxious to actually think of myself in, what you would call, "the real world." I'm toying with a few career paths to take with my Public Relations major..event planning, communications director, PR director, etc.. I seem to be drawn to event planning because of that is what I've been exposed to at the restaurant I work at. Working and hosting events have been a lot of fun, but I understand the hard work and organization that goes into planning an event. On the positive note though, I have a lot of time to explore what I want to do :)

This week is broken up by Veterans Day which means it will either fly by or drag on...my predictions it will drag on. I have work at the restaurant Tuesday, Info Session for school on Wednesday, Improper Bostonian event for the restaurant on Thursday, and work Friday- wohooo ! Well enough about my weekly schedule.... Happy Monday everyone HAVE A GREAT WEEK.

Cheers,

All Hallows Eve

Seeing as Halloween was on a Saturday this year, it was only
appropriate that we stay out as late as possible!

After watching a full week of Halloween movies and television shows - Disney's Halloween Town (1,2,3...), Hocus Pocus (classic), Life Time movie network, etc- October 31st finally came.

The residents of Beacon Hill were definitely in the spirit of Halloween; pumpkins, spooky cob webs, fake spiders and flying ghosts were scattered around their door steps and hung from their glass windows. I had seen children the day before putting out their carved jack-o-lanterns. Boston Police Department prepared to block off roads so that the tricky-or-treaters would be safe!

I dressed up as Tinker Bell for Friday night, but I put together a different costume last minute and decided to be a Gold Digger.

She take my money when I'm in need

Yea she's a trifflin friend indeed

Oh she's a gold digga way over town

That dig's on me

Crazy as it was, it ended up being an awesome night! I'm so glad my friends from home were able to come in and the rain held off for our walk home ;)

Hope you all enjoyed your Halloween!
Cheers,
